Ms. Teresa Arlene Norris, age 60, of Jonesborough, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Johnson City Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on November 4, 1965, to Frances White and the late Earl White, in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Teresa has operated restaurants and cleaned offices for Summers-Taylor Inc. for many years. She worked hard her whole life and loved to spend time with her family and her grandchildren.
In addition to her father, Teresa was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Ricky Norris.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Matt Norris and his wife, Jaci; grandchildren, Rachel Norris, Jeremiah Norris, Caleb Norris, Joshua Norris and Titus Norris; mother, Frances “Granny” White; special sister, Lisa Williams and her sons, Andy Williams (Mandy) and Aaron Williams (Abigail); special great nephews, Acie and Oakley; special great niece, Caroline; several nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Randy English officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, prior to the service. A Graveside will follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brian Briggs, Tommy Hyatt, Trey Balthis, Hudson Pereira, Andy Williams, and Aaron Williams. Honorary Pallbearers will be son, Matthew Norris, Grandsons, brothers-in-law, Buck Balthis, David Hoilman, and Ethan Furches.
Teresa was such a wonderful, sweet and kind person. She always treated you like family and made you feel like family whether you were or not. She will forever be missed by us and everyone else who had the privilege to know her but oh what a reunion she had when she lifted her eyes up in heaven. We find peace in knowing she’s with her beloved Rick again. Matt, Berthil had to work and I am sick so we won’t be able to make her funeral but please know you are in our hearts, our thoughts and especially in our prayers. We love you! To Teresa’s family, I’m so sorry for the loss Teresa’s family . Y”all will always be family to us and we’re so sorry for her loss. I will always feel as though she’s our family, we’ll always love Teresa her family. I’ll never be able to thank Teresa for being such an amazing friend and sister. I’m so very sorry for the loss of my dear friend! We spent so many years together and used to spend every weekend together, she fed us many meals in her home, and was a true friend! I’ll see you in the morning! Matt, Lisa, Granny and all the others I’m so sorry and I’m praying for you!!
