Margaret Beck

02/17/2026

Mrs. Margaret Beck, 80, of Jonesborough, passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

She was born in Rahway, New Jersey, on December 17, 1945, to the late William and Martha Sheridan Cooper.

Margaret spent most of her life in New Jersey before her and Robert relocated to Jonesborough in 2003. She worked for several years at Littman Jewelers, where she was a Diamondologist. After the closer of Littman’s, she found her true passion when she began her career as a Library Clerk. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her job immensely. Margaret loved to travel with Robert. Her favorite place they visited was Ireland. She was also a music enthusiast. She could tell you all about the songs she was listening to - when they came out and who sang them. Above all, Margaret loved her family and she loved spending time with them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gertrude Cooper Lathrop and her husband, John, and sister-in-law, Maureen Cooper.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert M. Beck; sons, Robert D. Beck and wife, Jennifer, Michael W. Beck; granddaughters, Victoria Marcocci and Courtney Beck; great-granddaughter, Isabella Carnella; brothers, William Cooper, John Cooper (Roxanne), and Patrick Cooper (Jeanne); life-long best friend, Linda Tarollo.

A Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.
