Gary and I went to high school together. He and I lived in the same neighborhood. He would give me a ride to church at times. Always kind and considerate. He was an excellent listener and a friend. I’m so sorry to see that he is gone from this life.
Teresa, I came by the funeral home when Gary’s dad passed so I did have the privilege of meeting you although that has been a long time ago and you probably don’t remember. I will be keeping you and your family in my prayers. Gary was a special person and will always be remembered.

We are thinking and praying for all of you at this time. It was a privilege to get to know Gary a little better last year. He is a kind soul.
Gary was quite a hard working servant to his city and his family.
Teresa, thank you for trusting me to help care for him. We are glad that He's entered his eternal home.
We regret we did not hear sooner and attend the visitation.

Gary was my first Sergeant when I joined APD. I always looked for guidance from Gary as I knew I would get a solid answer for any question I might throw at him. I know that many officers benefited from his guidance over the years. You will be missed by many. Prayers to all the family and friends. Godspeed Sir!

Gary Pierce was a committed family man, a good friend, and a Cop's Cop! I am proud that I was able to count him as one of my friends! I am beyond saddened by his passage and offer my condolences to Teresa and the family.
I grew up with the Pierce family as Scott and I are lifelong friends. I always remember that Mr. And Mrs. Pierce treated my brother and I like one of their own. I recall how much he loved his family and the profession of Law Enforcement. I remember many of the stories he would tell us about being on patrol with the Atlanta Police Department. In fact, Mr. Pierce helped teach me how to shoot and gave me a lot of good advice before I went to the police academy in 1992. I have now been in Law Enforcement going on 34 years and I am proud to say Mr. Pierce had some influence on my passion to get into this noblest of professions. You will be sorely missed sir but I will see you again one day.

Teresa and family, my condolences and sympathy to you. Gary was a good friend and I relied on him regarding firearm experience. When I retired from Atlanta Police, I contacted him as the Top expert to guide me in the right direction regarding my protection. He was able to do the best job, which made me very happy. He loved the law, protecting and serving, while always being courteous and friendly. He will certainly be missed. May God comfort you and your family.
