I just learned of Arnold’s passing this past Friday. I am sad to have missed his celebration of life. Arnold was one of a few mentors I had the good fortune to work with, but he also gave me the best career advice ever. We were on a greenfield plant startup and I was intimidated by his and his colleagues knowledge and abilities. When I told him this, he said “You don’t need to know everything, you just need to know how to ask the right questions.” We worked together for many years and I respected him more than he knew.

I was shocked this morning to learn of Arnold's passing. We worked together for many years at Alo and Bush Hog and I considered him a friend as well as a colleague. After he retired, he would still get together with his old engineering buddies for lunch sometimes and we always enjoyed hearing about his latest endeavors. He might be the only person I know who actually seemed busier after they retired than before. Rest in peace, Arnold. We will miss you down here, but we look forward to seeing you again one day in heaven.

I am saddened by the sudden loss of this great man. He was the epitome of wisdom, patience, and kindness. From the first time I met him, over 20 years ago, when we worked together at Bush Hog, he has always been thoughtful and kind. He was always inquiring about my children and family. Deborah, I am sorry that I was not in town and unable to attend the services. Please know we are praying for you during this difficult time.

Truly it was an honor to count Arnold Leuenberger as a friend and brother in Christ. Words will never be capable of expressing my shock about his sudden passing. He will definitely be missed by his family, neighbors and church. He was always willing to help out in any way that he could. I so admired how much he loved Debrorah and his family. His commitment to helping Debrorah was a great example of how a loving husband cares for their wife. He loved coming to game night at the church and he was always willing to teach others how to play chess. The last time I saw Arnold was at the 155th Bowmantown Baptist Church homecoming. Arnold was in charge of conducting security detail at the church that day. As I came through the door, I saluted Arnold & told him I felt more secure knowing he was on duty that day. For multiple reasons that day I was running in & out of the front door, but Arnold never got agitated with me. He always greeted everyone with a smile. Debrorah & Joann, God not only blessed you with a great husband & father, but He blessed those who knew Arnold with a good Christian friend. We love you guys, and I will be praying that God provide comfort for you in the days of grief ahead. If I can do anything for you, please don't hesitate to reach out.
