Mrs. Sharon B. Mitchell, age 71, Elizabethton, went to be with the Lord peacefully, Thursday, August 7, 2025, in Johnson City.
Mrs. Mitchell was born October 5, 1953, in Washington County, Tennessee, to the late John Joseph Barry, Sr. & Irene Hyatt Barry. She is preceded in death by a son, Fred Higgins, Jr. and a brother, Frank Barry.
She worked at Kennametal for thirty years and Lakebridge for thirteen years.
Survivors include her husband, Charlie Mitchell, Jr., Elizabethton; daughter, Kelly Stevens (Mike); three grandchildren, five great grandchildren; sisters, Caren Ellis (Clark), Mary Sparks, and Sandy Tester (Bobby); brothers, John Barry, Danny Barry, and Mike Barry; father-in-law, Charlie Mitchell, Sr.; sister-in-law, Virginia Landers; and several nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 PM Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Urbana Cemetery with Pastor Bryant Collins officiating.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.

We are terribly sorry for the loss of your beloved family member, Sharon. All were certainly blessed to have ever known her. Sharon was always very kind in conversations and had a huge heart for all who shared special moments with her. Although our relationship in this lifetime was brief, her kind, genuine love for those around her will forever be missed. All of our love and prayers to her husband and family.
