Ms. Grace Irena Bennett, age 82, of Limestone, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024, at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Grace was born on March 19, 1942, to the late Arville and Linda Ward Bennett.

She was a Certified Nursing Assistant and retired from John M. Reed Nursing Home. Grace was a member of Union Church of Christ on Cherokee Road and had most recently been attending Harvest Time Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Mack Bennett and Coy Bennett; sister, Carolyn Jellouilee; sister-in-law, Virginia Bennett

Survivors include her sisters, Bessie Moffitt (Terry) of Bakersville, North Carolina and Lida Arlena Blevins (Mark) of Elizabethton; brother, Russell Bennett of Kingsport; sister-in-law, Janice Bennett of Johnson City; nephew, George Moffitt of Bakersville, North Carolina; nieces, Molly Blevins and Katie Blevins of Elizabethton, Tennessee.

Grace was a loving, caring person, and will be greatly missed by her family. At her request, there will be no formal service.

Grace was a longtime friend of my mother, Betty Davis. They worked together at John Reed nursing home. My mother kept in touch with Grace even after leaving this area and going back to Illinois. My mother passed last September. She thought the world of Grace and the friendship they had. Condolences to the family.
