I've known Mike for many years. I first met him around '74-75 as we became friends through the Easterly family, Dave, Jeff and their Mother Beulah. She ran the Kingsport Drive In & I worked at the Taylor D.I. in Weber City, VA.. Anyway a few of us started backpacking together and had a little group known as the Ozone Walkers. We were just a bunch of crazy guys that enjoyed the outdoors. Poll, as we called him, was a great guy and fun to be around. I hate that he has passed and I will truly miss him and I wish that we could have met with some of the other guys just to laugh at some the great times we had. My prayers go out to Mike and his family.
