Mrs. Doris J. Ramsey, age 84, Limestone, passed away suddenly and peacefully Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Chandler House.
Mrs. Ramsey was born in Johnson City and daughter of the late Donald & Nelle Soesbee Phillips. She was also preceded by her husband, Geter Ramsey, two brothers, Jim Phillips and David Phillips and one sister, Sue Heaton.
She was of the Freewill Baptist faith.
Mrs. Ramsey was a Cook for Washington College and Woodridge Hospital. She enjoyed family and appreciated her friends.
Survivors include two sons, Thurin Ramsey, Jr. (Hazel) and Randall Ramsey (Lisa); two daughters, Donna Ramsey and Sandy Ramsey; sister, Ginger Rhea, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Janelle Phillips and Madge Crain (Harvey); brothers-in-law, Mink Ramsey and R.B. Ramsey, Jr. (Sylvia); and several nephews and nieces.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday July 31, 2016 at Oak Grove Cemetery, Greeneville with Rev. David Reece officiating.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
