Mrs. Jessie Story, age 91, Embreeville Community, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Story was born in Washington County and daughter of the late Daniel & Sarah Hilton Lockner. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Joseph Jerry Story and a sister, Dorothy Huskins.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, sewing and cooking.
Survivors include two sons, Eddie Story and wife Diana, and Charles “Pete” Story; one daughter, Janie Forbes and husband David; grandchildren, Lynn Scott and husband Shane, Tim Story and Bryan Forbes and wife Sandy; great-grandchildren, Ericka Patterson and husband Cody, Austin Parker, Luke Story, Libby Story, Ashley Forbes and Justyn Forbes; sister, Patsy White and husband Homer; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Broyles officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday prior to the service.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Bumpass Cove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
