Mr. Julian Douglas Keebler, age 72, Limestone, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at his residence.
Mr. Keebler was preceded in death by his parents Julian & Elizabeth Durman Keebler and an infant brother, Norman Keebler, cousins, Jimmy Sheets, Mary Lucy Keebler and Kathryn William, two uncles, Joe Keebler and Gene Sheets.
He was a member of Limestone United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Jenny Snapp Keebler, Limestone; cousins, Carolyn Brendel, Tampa, FL and Dean Massengil, Morristown; aunt, Helen Keebler, Mobile, AL Louise Sheets, Homosassa, FL; cousins, Eleanor Clark and U.S. Keebler, III, both of Limestone; sisters and brothers-in-law, S.G. & Rena Hensley, Rhea & Mildred Snapp; several nephews and nieces; and personal nurse, Tammy Shaw, whom he loved dearly. She saved his life once, may God bless her.
Doug was a dairy farmer as long as his health permitted. He loved his animals and could walk up to any of them and pet them. He had a love for all animals such as ground hogs, raccoons, possums, cats and any other animal
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Spell officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 pm Saturday prior to the service. Interment services will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Church, Ronald Dykes, Fain Presley, Gippy Martin, Ronnie Snapp, Tim Humphrey and Seif Morton
