Mary Elizabeth Hayes Wilson, age 94, died August 8, 2013 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Edwin Holder Wilson, Sr., her parents Richard Foster Hayes, Jr. and Mary Alice Daniel Hayes and her sibling babies Richard Foster Hayes III and Alice Katherine Hayes. Survivors include five children: Dr. Richard Hayes Wilson and spouse Dr. Nancy Scherer of Johnson City and Phoenix, Edwin Holder Wilson, Jr. and spouse Eileen Wells of El Dorado, AR and Knoxville, Melinda Lee Hart and spouse James Hart of Elizabethton, Christopher (Chris) Daniel Wilson and spouse Debra Van Derveer of Brentwood, TN, and William Alexander (Alex) Wilson, II and spouse Robin Wilson of Knoxville, nine grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Mary Elizabeth was a graduate of Tennessee High (1936) and attended Virginia Intermont College. She loved her family, playing bridge, her beautiful home and her pets, especially Graysilk.

Her body has been donated for medical science and there will be no funeral services.
