Ms. Vonda Ruth Ford, age 69, Greeneville, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Signature Healthcare of Greeneville.
Ms. Ford was born in Johnson City and daughter of the late Elbert & Cuba Birchfield Ford. In addition to her parents, Ms. Ford was also preceded in death by a daughter, Anita Gordon, a sister, Emma Jane Jones and two brothers, Joseph Ford and Samuel Ford.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Ms. Ford was owner and operator of My Lady Beauty Shop in Johnson City.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Pamela & Anthony Messer, Greeneville; two sons, Bobby Berry, Greeneville and Larry Hammer, Bluff City; three brothers, David Ford, E.B. Ford, Jr. and Larry Ford, all of Jonesborough; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, May 18, 2011 at Monte Vista Burial Park with Pastor Scott Thompson officiating.
Pallbearers will be family.
