Mrs. Charlene Marie Zimmerman McLeod, age 77, of Rogersville, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026, surrounded by family at her residence.
Mrs. McLeod was born April 16, 1948, in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late Donald Edward & Margaretta Marie Miller Zimmerman. She was also preceded in death by a brother, John Zimmermann.
She was a member of Central Christian Church in Jonesborough. Charlene was an avid collector and she loved genealogy. Most of all Charlene was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to many veterans.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Daniel McLeod, Sr. of Rogersville; four children, Daniel McLeod, Jr. (Maria) of Suffolk, VA, Tammy Maxwell (William) of Church Hill, TN, Amy McLeod of Summersville, SC, and Christine Leslie (Jason) of Rogersville, TN; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nephew, John Zimmerman, Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 PM Friday, February 27, 2026, at Central Christian Church, 106 Fox Street, Jonesborough, TN with Pastor Bob Roberson officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at Mountain Home National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated at Central Christian Church, 106 Fox Street, Jonesborough, TN 37659.
A very rough time now but just try to picture her with our Lord. She is happy and out of all pain. Blesses to you and your entire family.
