Mr. Tommy Wesley Waddell, age 83, Jonesborough, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Ballad Hospice House in Bristol.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny & Leuna Bowman Waddell. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Don Waddell.
Tommy retired from Tennessee Eastman Company. He enjoyed working on his farm and caring for his cattle.

He was a member of Sulphur Springs Methodist Church. He enjoyed lunch after Sunday service at Boones Creek Cracker Barrell along with his wife, Jewell and son, Jeff. He will be missed at Cracker Barrell especially by his favorite server Heidi.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Jewell Hillman Waddell; son, Jeffery Allen Waddell, of whom he was so proud of; sisters, Brenda Garst, Carolyn Rogers (Jim) and Barbara Edney (Mark); many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a special lifetime friends, Dale & Joyce Ford.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the nurses at Ballad Health & Hospice House in Bristol for their wonderful care.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Sulphur Springs Methodist Church with Pastor Scott Brady officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 pm Saturday prior to the service. Graveside services will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Ben Carder, Johnny Deakins, Ryan Garst, Nathan Gouge, Mike Saylor, and Johnny Squibb. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, Jimmy Rogers, Eddie Walls, Chris Sanders, and Greg Garst.

Memorial donations may be made to Sulphur Springs Methodist Church Building Fund 1432 Gray Station Sulphur Springs Rd. Jonesborough, TN 37659.
