Beth Shelton Sedam

02/03/2024

Mrs. Beth Shelton Sedam, age 59, Telford, went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 3, 2024, at her residence after a long battle with cancer.

Beth was born to Harry and Bobbie Shelton on June 19, 1964, in Johnson City, Tennessee. Beth graduated from Daniel Boone High School in 1982. She attended East Tennessee State University. She worked for Food City, J.E. Green, Ballad Health, and she and her husband started a business, Tri City Custom Glass in Johnson City, where she worked until a few months prior to her passing.

Beth was a member of Marvin’s Chapel Methodist Church, but later attended First Christian Church in Johnson City.

Beth was predeceased by her father, Harry Shelton, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Louise Sedam.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Samuel Sedam; son, Noah Samuel Sedam and wife, Mercedes Canter Sedam; granddaughter, Marybeth Renee Sedam; her daughter, Chelsey Nicole Sedam and husband, Steven Johnson; grandsons, Maximus, and Maverick Johnson; her mother, Bobbie Shelton; brother, Dean Shelton and wife, Rebecca; and special dog, Teddy.

Beth had a special love for animals. She took special care of all her barn cats, which were many. She loved to travel and had visited many of the United States and several countries on her many cruises.

The family would like to express their thanks to all the Amedisys Hospice Nurses and Social workers who cared for Beth in her last days. A special thanks to Rebecaa Shelton, her sister-in-law, who faithfully cared for her many days and nights.

If anyone wants to make a memorial donation, the family would prefer the Johnson City Animal Shelter.

Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Donald Mushayamunda and Mr. Robert Dubay officiating.

Family will serve as pallbearers.
