I met Cynthia and Herb while living in Taiwan in 1972 and have many memories of golfing, partying, and many conversations about life in general usually with a martini in hand. My husband and I kept in touch with both since then and visited them every time we were on our way back to Canada from a visit in the U.S. Always got a Christmas card from Cynthia and later as we both got a little older, we would call and as soon as I said it’s Brenda from Canada she would ask if we were stopping in from a trip! Cynthia was one of a kind and I cherish our friendship of over the last 50 years. Say “hello” to Herb and tip a glass to the old days.

I was honored to bake Cynthia's last birthday cake and share it with her. She was a great old "broad" in the best sense of the word. Hers was a life well lived and I laugh a little to remember that she wanted me to come back to visit so we could talk about snow skiing!
