Rose Lavern Honeycutt

11/03/2023

Ms. Rose Lavern Honeycutt, age 62, Piney Flats, passed away peacefully Friday, November 3, 2023, in her home.

Ms. Honeycutt was born June 17, 1961, in Knott County, Kentucky to the late Glen Honeycutt & Thelma Hall Honeycutt. She was also preceded in death by a brother, David Honeycutt and two sisters, Debra Hall and Velda Bowen.

She was a US Army Surgical Tech. One of the things she was most proud of in this life was her children and grandchildren. Rose loved being “Nan” to Gracelynn & Tiara. They always knew their “Nan” would have candy and kisses for them when they arrived. They were the biggest light in her life. You could always find her with a cup of coffee with hazelnut creamer in the mornings while she chatted with you about life. Rose will be incredibly missed by those that loved and cherished her. Her children hope that she is dancing in the sky and is filled with joy and peace.

Survivors include a son, Anthony Honeycutt (Tara Hopson); daughters, Crystal Honeycutt (Sean Martin) and Victoria Patrick (Bronson); grandchildren, Gracelynn Martin and Tiara Honeycutt; sisters, Lisa Smith and Paulina Honeycutt; and several nephews and nieces.

Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Anthony Honeycutt officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 PM Sunday prior to the service.

Fly high sweet lady! I am so glad to get to know you through your baby girl. I know how much you cherished each and everyone of your children. You will be missed so much. Your strong presence will be with them every step of the way. And you will reappear personal ways giving peace and a nudge that your spirit is never far away. Prayers for strength for all of the family.

Vern,we were friends for a long time but life gets in the way. I know you are at peace and not sick or hurting. You were a friend to all and a lot of people took advantage of your good heart. You are with Thelma, David,Velda, Debra and all the ones that have gone before. Crystal will make sure everything here is taken care of. Rest easy
