Noah Smith, 15, of Jonesborough, Tennessee, passed away on October, 2, 2023.
He was a sophomore at David Crockett High School.
He was preceded in death by his special Uncle Charlie Caldwell.
He is survived by his parents, Herbert Smith, Jr. and Jennifer Mathes; Sister, Abby Smith;
Grandparents, Herbert Smith, Sr., Randy Mathes, Sr. and Gloria Mathes; special Aunt Mollie Caldwell; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

I first met Noah when he was in my son's class in elementary school. I always felt he was a very sweet child. My son and Noah became better friends in highschool. He and my son became best friends. I will miss Noah greatly.

Noah was an amazing and caring friend. I knew him throughout elementary and middle school. He was a good spirited man. I'll miss him. May he rest in peace.

I'm so sorry to hear of Noah's passing. I was his 5th grade ELA teacher at Grandview. I know he will be greatly missed. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Noah, I'm sorry that I wasn't able to say goodbye one last time. You were like a brother to me and now everytime I'm in first period I'll be sadder. I don't know how I can honor you in any way but I wish you were still here.
I was his best friend, he meant a lot to me, we would always play games together and when i got to highschool we would’ve went together as a friend group. The memories i had with him won’t be forgotten. I find it hard to believe this is true. I will truly miss him.
