Earl Michael Cobble, age 80, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away on September 7, 2023, following a long battle with multiple myeloma. He died peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends.

He is survived by two sons, Rion Michael Cobble, and Andrew Weller Cobble, both of Jonesborough. He’s also survived by two brothers, Bill L. Cobble (Donna) of Knoxville and Hugh T. (Tom) Cobble (Pat) of Afton, numerous nieces and nephews and many many friends.

He is preceded in death by his son, Patrick M. Cobble, his brother, John Cobble, and his parents, Earl Cobble and Edith Cobble.

He was a veteran of the US Army and honorably discharged. Prior to retirement he was employed at the VA, Mountain Home.

A memorial service will be held at Afton Methodist Church on Sunday, October 22nd at 3:00 in the afternoon.
