Terry Lee Pearson

08/24/2023

Mr. Terry Lee Pearson, age 64, Limestone, passed away at his residence on Thursday, August 24, 2023.

Terry was born on June 25, 1959, to the late Henry (“Guy”) and Helen Vines Pearson. He grew up in Limestone as an only child but held many childhood memories with loving extended family members and lifelong friends. He would often tell stories of his teenage years riding around in his pickup truck named “Old Sanford.”

After graduating from David Crockett High School, Terry married his high school sweetheart, Scarlett Raines, continued to play softball, and started a family. He devoted his career to Jarden Zinc Company for over 40 years as an Industrial Operator.

Terry was a dedicated father, husband, son, and friend. He worked hard to provide a joyful life for his family, and always kept an optimistic outlook in every situation. He kept those around him smiling, and never knew a dull moment. His spirit will be carried on through his cornbread recipe, rock-n-roll, and man’s best friend, Brisco.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his lifelong partner, Scarlett (Raines) Pearson, and best friend, Randall (“Mark”) Raines.

Survivors include his daughter, Ashten Jennings (Morgan); mother-in-law, Virgina Raines; and nephews Kevin Raines (Sarah) and Eric Raines (Chasity). The family wanted to share a special thanks for the support of the McBride, Broyles, and Dockery family, and all the dear friends who came to visit him over the years.

The family will welcome friends at Mr. Pearson’s residence on Sunday, August 27, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Condolences may also be sent to the Pearson family online at www.dillow-taylor.com.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family has asked that a charitable donation be made to St. Jude’s Hospital, the Wounded Warrior Project, or Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church’s cemetery fund.
