Mrs. Retha Jones Pugh, age 87, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at her home.

Retha was born in Kingsport on August 14, 1935, to the late Palmer and Martha Jones.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Monte Vista Burial Park with Pastor Willy Lunsford officiating. The family will receive friends from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, Saturday, July 15, 2023, prior to the graveside at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.

A special thank you to Anna Smith for the loving care she provided to Retha, as well as a special thank you to Diana Gillespie.

I met Retha through MyRide Jonesborough a few years ago. Lovely, quiet-spoken lady, grieving the deaths of her husband and sons within a short period of time. I pray for God’s blessings to surround and comfort the family members.

I had the privilege of knowing Mrs. Pugh for many years by being her dental hygienist. She was a very sweet, kind woman who loved her family and church very much. She always enjoyed her traveling days and sharing her experiences. Know she was heart broken to lose her husband and two sons. She appreciated the care her daughter-in-law gave her very much. She will be missed, prayers for her family and friends.
