Mr. Jerry Don “JD” Masingale, age 82, Jonesborough, passed away Monday, March 25, 2019 at his residence.
Mr. Masingale was born in Tellico Plains, TN and the son of the late Robert & Arzona Hensley Masingale. He was also preceded in death by one sister, three brothers and one great-niece, Wendy Masingale.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Masingale was a Farmer and a Heavy Equipment Operator, retiring from the Washington County Highway Department after 30 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Bettie Combs Masingale, Jonesborough; one brother, Junior Masingale, Georgia; one sister, Anna Lee Loveday, Powell, TN; two nephews, Christopher Masingale, Limestone and Gene Masingale, Colonial Heights; great-great niece, Maelyn Masingale; sister-in-law, Caffie Combs, Jonesborough; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Friday, March 29, 2019 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Keasling officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Friday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 1:00 pm Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Willie Morrow, Jeff Combs, Etzel Presnell, Ronnie Carver, Chad Carver and Chris Blevins.
