Mrs. Velma Pearline Jeffers Street, 87, Jonesborough, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 at her residence.
Mrs. Street was born in Washington County, daughter of the late LeRoy and Addie Collette Jeffers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Street; sons Phil Jeffers and Robert Street; grandsons, Jerry Jeffers and Tony Jeffers; two brothers and two sisters.
For many years, Mrs. Street was a faithful member of the Church of the Nazarene in East Peoria, Illinois.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, David Street (Louise) of Kentucky, Dan Street (Judy) of Illinois, Kathy Wright (Richard) of Jonesborough, and Gary Street (Carol) of Illinois; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one great, great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Street will be held 12:00 PM, Friday, December 21, 2018 at Oakland Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. David Street, Rev. Parker Street, and Rev. Richard Wright officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM prior to the service.
Graveside services will follow the funeral at Oakland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
