Mr. Police N. Norton, age 91, Jonesborough, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Four Oaks Healthcare Center.
Mr. Norton was born in Cocke County, TN and the son of the late Joe C. & Zelphia Franklin Norton. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Lillian Hensley Norton, second wife, Della Buckles Norton, three daughters, Louise, Alice, and Betty Marie, one son, Johnny Raye Norton, five brothers and four sisters.
He was a member of Mountain View Church, Greeneville.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Bradley Norton, Jonesborough; children, Joyce Norton and Wanda Norton; step-children, Janice Lunceford and Margaret Jones; numerous grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Shannon Sell, Jewell Newton, Eva Joyce Tweed, Nancy Waddle, and Starlin Perry.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the management and associates at Four Oaks Healthcare Center and Johnson City Medical Center Stroke 4200 Wing, for taking care of Police.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. David Reece officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 pm Thursday prior to the service. Interment services will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Greeneville.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
