Mr. Vestal Junior Privette, age 62, Chuckey, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Privette was born in Johnson City on November 1, 1955. He is the son of Paralee Privette and the late Donald Privette. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Lit and Fairy McKinney, granddaughter, Elizabeth Privette at the age of seven and his great-grandson, Dylan Privette Jr. at two weeks old.
Vestal had a lifetime career in construction as a General Contractor. He loved football, NASCAR, boating and being on the river with his family.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his best friend and girlfriend of fifteen years, Linda Ayers, of the home; children, Anglia Privette and Jessica Lynn Privette, Eddie Godsey, Tammy Milton and Chadwick Ayers; grandchildren, Dylan Privette, Nicholas Privette, Payton Ayers and Chasta Ayers; great grand-children, Benjamin Privette, Faith Privette, Alexander Privette, Zoey Privette, Amyiah Privette; sisters, Patsy Tipton; brothers, Larry Privette and Michael Privette; ex-wife, Wanda Privette; and several nephews, nieces, cousins and a lifetime of great friends.
Vestal was a loving son, grandson, father, brother, grandfather and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 pm Friday, September 7, 2018 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan Reed officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 pm Friday prior to the service. Interment services will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
