Mrs. Ruth Chase, age 89, Jonesborough, passed away Monday, April 30, 2018 at the Four Oaks Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Chase was born in Sullivan County and daughter of the late Dana H. & Molly E. Ferguson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence M. Chase, daughter, Marianne Fair and a brother, Vernon Ferguson.
She was a member of Jonesborough Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Chase was known for her wonderful yeast rolls.
She retired from Service Merchandise in the catalog department.
Survivors include a son, Calvin Chase, Smyrna, TN; seven grandchildren, Shannon Chase, Carrie Chase, Sarah Fair (Josh Heltzel), Nikki Chase, Hannah Fair, Christopher Chase and Emilee Chase; two great- grandchildren, Brayden Tischer and Adeline Heltzel; two sisters, Joan Good and Helen Campbell; one brother, Allen Ferguson; son-in-law, Randy Fair; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Huff officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, May 4, 2018 at Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
