Mrs. Velma Ruth Sprinkle, age 89, Chuckey, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018 at the Life Care Center of Greeneville.
Mrs. Sprinkle was born in Washington County and the daughter of the late Watt Copp and Rosa Henley. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Eugene Bryant and second husband, R. obitFrank Sprinkle.
She was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church and Ladies United Methodist Women.
Mrs. Sprinkle was owner and operator, along with her husband, of Sprinkle Furniture & Upholstery Company and was also the company secretary.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 6975 in Bristol, VA, where she held the office of President and Vice President, locally and district wide.
Survivors include a daughters and son-in-law, Tammy & Erik Fleenor, Chuckey and Sandra Casteel, Maryville; one son, Tony Bryant Johnson City; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and caregiver, Brenda Duncan.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-5:00 pm Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. Graveside services will follow at Liberty Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Richard Mullan officiating.
Pallbearers will be Colton Fleenor, Marshall Fleenor, Danny Ray Bailey, Alex Moore, Allen Painter and Steven Painter.
