I have always remembered the kindness of Mrs. Pierson when I had sleep overs at the Pierson home when I was young. (I'm now 64.) Judy and I went through school together at West View Elementary and Washington College Academy, graduating in 1970. Their home was so comforting. I especially remember how her mother would come in to wake us and sit on the side of the bed turning on the bedside lamp and talk to us so gently. There were other kindnesses too and I always enjoyed spending time there, but the gentle awakening is a treasured memory. However, the ticking grandfather clock, that rang throughout the night was one that took some getting used to! Thanks for the memories!
