Barbara P. Hunt, Jonesborough, age 96, passed away peacefully at Cornerstone Village, Johnson city, March 17, 2017.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandi Fisher and husband Neil; son, Keith Hunt and wife Kandy; nine grandchildren, Laura Stoddart, Travis Simpson, Lisa Brennan, Karen McGouirk, Jay Hunt, Scott Hunt, Amanda Anderson, Thomas Tighe, and Anthony Batista, all of whom have grown into accomplished and caring people. In addition, she is survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Barbara was a research chemist during her working years and continued to love to learn new things right up until the end.
Special friends who will miss her are: Carleen Claybaker, Doug Janz, and Perry Ann Butler.
She loved animals of all kinds, large and small, with fur, feathers, or scales. She had a green thumb and enjoyed the challenge of growing rare specimens. Her cat, Tonto, was a devoted pet and constant companion during her last years.
