James (Jim) Canning, Sr. of Gray, TN passed away Wed. Dec.16th, at his residence after a lengthy illness surrounded by his loved ones. Jim was born in Bethany, CT to the late Patrick and Edna Canning. Jim proudly served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He spent the majority of his life in the automotive service industry. He was a resident of Gray, TN for the past 19 years.
Survivors include his loving wife Claire Canning, son James (Jim) Canning, Jr. and his wife Sarah of Gray, TN, son Lee Falcon of Thornton, CO, four grandchildren Emmy, Cooper, Austin and Taylor, sister-in-law Phyllis Taber of Boones Creek and four nephews. Jim's friendly nature and quick wit, along with many of his life stories will be missed by all who knew him,
A celebration of life will be held Sat., Dec. 19th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at 137 Valley St., Gray, TN.
