Mrs. Joy M Stanley Hensley, 84, Jonesborough, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Hensley was a native of Skeetrock Virginia, the daughter of the late Glenn James and Beulah Stone Martin. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two brothers Rush and James Martin.
Mrs. Hensley enjoyed a career in nursing that spanned 30 years, receiving numerous awards for outstanding services.
She was a member of the Jonesborough United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons; Michael Stanley (Patty), Jonesborough, David Hensley, Johnson City, four daughters; Glenda Combs (Roger), Clintwood, Virginia, Kathy Kinley (Don), Jonesborough, Rebecca Mitchell (David),and Janie Britt, (Mark) both of Greenville, one brother Ronald Martin, (Mary), Minnesota, 8 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren, and Several Nephews and Nieces.
Visitation Services will be held from 5 pm till 7 pm Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home in Jonesborough.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice.
