Z. Jean Kortkamp (Tardiff) passed from this life to heaven on Tuesday, December 30, 2014.

She was born February 16, 1915 in Englewood, Tennessee to the late Nathan and Cora Thompson, who later lived in Jonesborough, Tn.

Mrs. Kortkamp lived most of her adult life in Los Angeles and Pasadena, California and moved back to this area in 1990.

She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Johnson City.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Perry Kortkamp, son, Ronald Dale Kortkamp, and sister, Helen Boring of Jonesborough.

She is survived by three grandchildren, Craig, Candice and Perry Kortkamp and two great grandchildren all of Los Angeles. "Aunt Jean's” Johnson City relatives include niece, Debi Boring, nephew, Lynn and wife Veronica Brannon, grandnephew, Ben and wife Christine Bradish and children, Lauren, Parker and Peyton.

The family wishes to thank special friends, Pastor Jim Richter, Marilyn Grigsby, Nancy and Dr. Mark Williams, Coleen Falasca, Judy and Dr. Ron Godat, Arlyn Wattenbarger. Also, a special thanks to the staff at NHC for the care she receive there.

Memorial service is scheduled at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home in Jonesborough, Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Jim Richter officiating.
