Mr. Edward LaDoya “Ed” Goodwin, age 74, Greeneville, passed away from a long illness on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at his place of residence.
Mr. Goodwin was born and raised in Poughkeepsie, Arkansas by his late mother Lela Alma Goff Jarrett.
Survivors of Mr. Goodwin include his wife, Doris “Renee” Coons Goodwin of Greeneville, TN ; former wife, Jo Hannah Goodwin of Gibson, TN; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Edward & Dainese Goodwin of Gibson, TN and Mark Allen & Lisa Goodwin of LaGrange, GA; daughter, Denise Michelle Crain of Gibson, TN; also included are eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Goodwin also leaves two brothers Dale Jarrett and wife Barbara, and their daughter, Rhonda Ballew of Crystal River, Florida and James Jarrett of Santee, California along with nephew Eddie Jarrett.
Mr. Goodwin was a member of Jonesborough Church of Christ while living in Greeneville.
Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM with a memorial service conducted by Minister Leon Goff and Minister Tony Sayre at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home starting at 7:00 PM on Saturday, December 27, 2014.
