Mr. Kyle Jenkins, age 87, Gray, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Jenkins was born in Gray, TN, the son of the late Sam R. & Mary Elizabeth Barry Jenkins. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Susong Jenkins, brothers and sisters, Velma Ford, Clarence Jenkins, Kate Jenkins, Nola McCray, Lenore Kinchloe, Everett Jenkins and “Pete” Jenkins and a sister-in-law, Margaret Susong Range.
He was a member of Highland Church of Christ.
Mr. Jenkins graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 1947. He was a United States Army Veteran and a Pipefitter for AFG Glass. He was a member of Sinking Creek Masonic Lodge #575 F&AM.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Jo & Dale Whitson, Gray; sister, Joy Jenkins Haren, Gray; brother-in-law, Dale Range, Gray; and several nephews and nieces.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Boones Creek Cracker Barrel staff, Mountain States Hospice and the nurses and staff of 2500 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 PM Monday, October 13, 2014 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Byron Paddock and Pastor Clinton Andrews officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM Monday prior to the service. Interment services will follow at Highland Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be men of Highland Church of Christ.
Memorial donations may be made to Highland Church of Christ Building Fund 485 Highland Church Rd. Gay, TN 37615.
