Mr. Ricky Dale Tweed, age 54, Telford, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Mr. Tweed was born in Greeneville, TN and son of James W. “Buddy” & Nora O. Gross Tweed, Telford.
He was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church of Greeneville.
Mr. Tweed was a self-employed Concrete Finisher and owner of Concrete Specialists. He enjoyed farming and loved his dogs, Saddie and Maggie.
Mr. Tweed was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Edith Turbyfill and maternal grandmother, Zelma Gross.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife of 35 years, Patricia Ann Dingus Tweed, Telford; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nicole Tweed Burke & Matt Burke, Jonesborough and Bridget Tweed Oliver & Bo Oliver, Afton, TN; four grandchildren, Matthew Dale Burke, Gracie Nicole Burke, both Jonesborough, Jordan Oliver and Karson Oliver, both of Afton; two sisters, Darlene Goodman (Wayne), Chuckey and Jennifer Seymore, Telford; one brother, Tim Tweed (Debra), Sevierville; and many special nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Perry officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 PM Saturday prior to the service. Interment services will follow at Graceland Memorial Gardens in Greeneville.
Pallbearers will be Bo Oliver, Matt Burke, Matthew Burke, Wayne Goodman, Tim Tweed and Jordan Oliver. Honorary pallbearer will be Wes Parkins, Rocky Thompson, Terry Lynn Ricker and Joey Randall.
