Mrs. Mary R. Jennings, age 96, Jonesborough, passed away Monday, August 11, 2014 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Jennings was born in Washington County and daughter of the late Tyler & Mollie Ingram Ruble. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Tate Jennings, sister and brother-in-law, Judy Ruble & Henry Cohen, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dwight & Miriam Ruble, Fred & Ama Ruble, son-in-law, Lynn Campbell; and a great-grandson, Tanner Roberts.
She was the oldest member of Bethesda United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Jennings retired from Thomas Industries.
Survivors include daughter, Sadie Campbell; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby & Lzona Jennings and John & Katherine Jennings; grandsons, Carlos Campbell (Patsy), Gary Campbell (Karen) and Anthony Jennings (Karen); granddaughters, Renay Roberts (Tony), Michelle Nolan (Kerry) and Tina Fields (Bruce).
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, August 14, 2014 at the Bethesda United Methodist Church with Rev. Jake Herron officiating. Interment services will follow at Bethesda Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Carlos Campbell, Gary Campbell, Travis Campbell, Justin Jennings, Dillon Roberts and Larry Keplinger. Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley Garland, Rex Renfro, Jason Andes, Eddie Matthews, Gary Butler, Billy Cox, Dale Ford, Tony Roberts, Dustin Roberts, Bruce Fields, Kerry Nolan, Jim Pickering and Anthony Jennings.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregiver, Roma Kilgore.
In lieu of flowers, may be made to Bethesda United Methodist Church Memorial Fund 4708 Cherokee Rd. Jonesborough, TN 37659.
