Mrs. Claudine Bennett Blalock, age 79, Telford, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014 at the Franklin Woods Community Hospital.
Mrs. Blalock was born in Washington County and daughter of the late Eckard & Dorothy Miller Bennett. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Blalock, sister, Stella Bennett, brothers, Dewey Bennett, Bruce Bennett and Buddy Bennett.
She was a Christian, deaconess and active member of Unity Church of God.
Mrs. Blalock retired as Director of the Jonesborough Senior Center. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and birds.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Rick & Vickie Mull; grandchildren, Melanie Willis (Derek), Justin Laws, and Jonathan Laws; great-grandchildren, Zander Willis and Brennan Laws; brothers, Everett Bennett (Peggy), Donald Bennett (Opal) and Eckard Bennett (Grace); special niece, Debbie Ward; special friends, Virginia & Dan Ramsey and Harley Hopson; several nephews and nieces; and her cat, Winken.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 PM Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Hopson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 and 5:00-7:00 PM Saturday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Monte Vista Burial Park.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Mull, Henry Tweed, Paul Tweed, Andy Tweed, Jim Bennett and Steve Bennett.
