Mrs. Vaudine Johnson White, age 92, Johnson City, passed into her heavenly home on Friday, August 1, 2014, at the NHC Healthcare of Johnson City.
Mrs. White was born in Georgia and daughter of the late J.B. & Nellie Kine Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Rev. Herbert T. White in December 1997.
She was a charter member of Highland Baptist Church, Johnson City, where her son pastored for 12 years.
She worked various jobs from World War II as a war bride until retirement in retail. She ministered with her husband in churches in four states for over 40 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Maxine Hewitt (Ladd), New Hampshire; one son, Rev. Wayne White (Beverly), Johnson City; four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend special thanks to her church family, who has shown Christian love and prayerful support; the staffs of JCIM, NHC, and Caris Hospice; and Dr. Richard Elliot and Dr. E.C. Goulding.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 PM Monday, August 4, 2014, at the Highland Baptist Church, 300 Highland Church Rd., Johnson City, with Rev. Wayne White and Pastor David Mauger officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:30-7:00 PM Monday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at Masters Cemetery, Stockbridge, GA.
Memorial donations may be made to the Music Fund of Highland Baptist Church, 300 Highland Church Rd., Johnson City, TN 37615.

I am sorry, Aunt Vaudine Johnson White, that I did not get to know you more. I do know that I have loved and missed you and all of our family members Like it seems forever. I wanted to find you for so long. Before you all passed on. Well, Here you are. Gone, which breaks my heart. So is Aunt Silvata. Donna Gaye Bowerman is gone. Richard Bowerman, Sr. and Jr. are gone. My sister, my dad, and my brother. It has been a sad year,2014. Well, Aunt Vaudine. I miss you and I believe you are in heaven. So you and mom are re-united once more. I love you all.
