Mrs. Marie Francis Wilson, age 88, Jonesborough, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Buladean, NC and daughter of the late John M. & Bethina Moffitt Francis. She was also preceded in death by her husband fourteens days ago, Homer Lee Wilson, son, Gary D. Wilson, grandson, Daniel Wilson, great-granddaughter, Emma Grace Wilson, brothers, Stanley Francis, Charlie Francis, George Francis and Jim Francis, and sisters, Elsie Hughes, Mamie Yelton and Dorothy Hill.
She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Nelda Valentine-Mynatt (John) of Jonesborough; four grandchildren, Justin Valentine of Jonesborough, Jeremy Valentine (Kim) of Elizabethton, David Wilson (Alicia) of Jonesborough, and Stacy Wilson Hoffman (Wade) of Pittman, New Jersey; two great-grandchildren, Cara Marie Wilson and Luke Brantley Wilson; sister-in-law, Sue Francis, Jonesborough; special niece, Joann Robbins and several other nephews, nieces, and great nephews and nieces.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:30 AM Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Mountain Home National Cemetery with Dr. Mark Harrod officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Nelda Valentine-Mynatt.
Pallbearers will be Harold Wilson, Jeremy Valentine, Justin Valentine, Ben Francis, Stuart Foulke and David Wilson.
