Mr. Robert “Bob” Thomas Hutton, Jr. age 62, Jonesborough, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013 at his residence after a brief illness.

Mr. Hutton was a native of Washington County, Virginia and son of the late Robert Thomas Hutton, Sr. & Valerie Jean Lawrence Hutton. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hutton was also preceded by his grandparents that raised him, Dora & Charles Lawrence and a half-brother, Tommy Hutton.

He was a member of Cherry Grove Baptist Church.

Mr. Hutton was a United States Army Veteran. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and The Air Medal during the Vietnam Conflict.

He was a retired Truck Driver and Security Officer. He was a member of the VFW in Virginia and Tennessee

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Couch Hutton, Jonesborough; daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda Jean Hutton, Saltville,VA, Laura & Andy Bennett, Lisa & Ron Ford and Sheri Sampson, all of Jonesborough; half-sister, Lisa Hutton; half-brothers, Robert “Bubby” Hutton and Billy Hutton; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmie Rogers and Pastor Tommy Clark officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Saturday prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted 4:00 pm Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family & friends.
