Mrs. Jewell Fender, age 75, Chuckey, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Mrs. Fender was a native of Unicoi County and daughter of the late Roy & Mary Bowman Ayers. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fender was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Fender was a Homemaker and loved to cook.

Survivors include her husband, Monroe Fender, Chuckey; children, Becky Andrews (Joe), Liz Arnold (Allan), Beverly Lowe, Phillip Fender, Brenda Landers (Terry), Sharon King (Ricky) and Alma Church; sixteen grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Oaks and Kathy Clark; one brother, James Ayers; special pets, Brownie, BoBo, Chipper, Benji, George and Sammy.

Funeral services will be conducted 6:00 pm Sunday, May 26, 2013 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Dallas Gregg and Mr. Logan Lamb officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 pm Sunday prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted 12:00 pm Monday, May 27, 2013 at Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be sons-in-law, Carlos Lowe and Johnny Bright. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren.
