Mrs. Naomi “Nana” Painter, age 74, Jonesborough, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2013 at her residence.

Mrs. Painter was a native of Washington County and daughter of the late Roy Victor & Elizabeth Tucker Smith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Painter was also preceded in death by a great-grandchild and a brother, Ogleva Don Smith.

She was a member of Embreeville United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Painter was a Homemaker.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Norman C. Painter, Jonesborough; son and daughter-in-law, David & Patricia Painter, Chuckey; three daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie & Keith Wilson, Elizabethton, Lisa & Travis Honeycutt, Jonesborough and Barbara Hoxworth, Jonesborough; very special friend/caretaker and another daughter, Becky Harris, Jonesborough; four brothers, Leo Smith, Lawrence Smith, both of Jonesborough, Archie Smith, Chattanooga and Gary Smith, Jonesborough; two sisters, Linda Green, Erwin and Sandra Edwards, Greeneville; six grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces; and special friend, Maple Dean, Greeneville.

The family would like to thank the staff of Johnson City Medical Center 7400 floor and Hospice.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 4, 2013 at Embreeville United Methodist Church with Mr. Terry Cloyd, Dr. Joseph Miller and Mr. Howard Painter officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 6:30-8:00 pm Monday prior to the service and other times at the residence or at the home of the daughter, Lisa Honeycutt 912 Dry Creek Rd. Jonesborough.

Interment services will be conducted 1:45 pm Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Mountain Home National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family & friends.
