Ms. Geraldine Garst, 66, Jonesborough, passed away after a brief illness, Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Franklin Woods Hospital.

She was a native of Davidson County but lived all her life in Washington County, the daughter of the late Daniel Paul and Cora B. Oliver Garst. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Daniel Paul Jr., William “Bill”, and Thomas Garst and one sister Mildred Hodge.

Ms. Garst was retired from Siemens in Johnson City.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include one son Jimmy Garst and wife Debra, Jonesborough, two grandsons, James Jr. and Jacob Garst, two brothers, Robert Todd Garst (Jean), Crossville, Joe Garst (Rita), Johnson City, three sisters Gena McAmis (Jack), Greenville, Shirley Ayers (Lloyd), Anderson S.C., Judy Holley (Milburn), Jonesborough, two sisters-in-law, Loretta (Penny) Garst, Jonesborough, Edna Garst, Crossville and one brother-in-law J.R. Hodge, Jonesborough, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Ms. Garst will be 7 pm Monday, January 21, 2013 at Dillow-Taylor
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Baxter officiating. The family will receive
friends from 5 till 7 pm prior to the service. Interment services will be Tuesday, January
22, 2013 at 11 am at Fairview Cemetery. The family request that everyone meet at the
cemetery at 10:45 am.

Pallbearers will be Johnathan Garst, Martin Garst, Eddie Garst, Dale Garst, Michael
Holley, Grant Holley and Ron Phillips.
