Mrs. Rosalee “Bootsie” Sparks, age 76, Jonesborough, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Sparks was a native of Washington County and daughter of the late William L. & Anna Mae Vaughn Taylor. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sparks was also preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond Taylor, Danny Taylor and Donald Taylor, two sisters, Barbara Payne and Peggy Hoss, grandson, T.J. Dougherty and one granddaughter, Jessica Crabtree.

She was a member of Limestone Church of Christ. She enjoyed her family and church family.

Survivors include her husband, David Mack Sparks, Jonesborough; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ann & Tom Malone, Johnson City and Amy & Mike Hyatt, Jonesborough; one son and daughter-in-law, David & Lisa Sparks, Mt. Airy, NC; sisters, Betty Price, Johnson City and Sue West, North Carolina; four brothers, Sam Taylor, Terry Taylor, both of Jonesborough, Jeff Taylor, Georgia and Michael Taylor, Johnson City; four grandchildren, Shannon Malone, Ryan Dougherty, Israel Sparks, Taylor Brooke Sparks, Abbey Nicole Sparks and Heather White; great-grandchild, Lakota Malone; and several nephews and nieces.

Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Limestone Church of Christ with Mr. Tony Hoss, Mr. Terry Taylor and Mr. Sammy Taylor officiating.
