Mr. Ted G. Carver, age 75, Jonesborough, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Mr. Carver was born in Dry Creek, WV and son of the late Charles & Naomi Bradford Carver.

He was former owner of Henry’s Carry Out and Jonesborough Dairy Queen for the past 32 years. He enjoyed trout fishing, watching westerns, gardening and canning. He completed the Dale Carnegie Course.

Survivors include his daughters, Myra Carver, Paula Dalton, both of Jonesborough and Kathy Lyons, Telford; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; daughters by his second marriage, Jennifer Gilmer, Limestone, Carmen Hicks and Kimberly Carver, both of Jonesborough; 8 grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Mildred & Merv Pratt, Johnson City and Ruth Isaacs, Elizabethton; brothers and sister-in-law, Jim & Loretta Carver, Joe & Linda Carver, all of Johnson City, Bill & Phyllis Carver, Georgia, John & Renee Carver, Missouri and Tom & Ann Marie Carver, Georgia; and several nephews and nieces.

The family would like to thank Dr. Farrow and his staff, nurses and doctors in ICU at the Johnson City Medical Center for their wonderful care.

Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Friday, December 21, 2012 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Dykes officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Friday prior to the service.

Entombment services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Washington County Memory Gardens. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kris Crawford, Dustin Tesnear, Anthony Overstreet, Scott Bergendahl, Gene Oaks and Danny Dykes. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Carver and Ken France.
