Matthew D. Sarber, age 11, Jonesborough, passed away Friday, November 2, 2012 at Johnson City Medical Center after an extended illness.

Matthew was a native of Carter County and the son of Brian K. and Traci Dykes Sarber.

He enjoyed life to the fullest, he enjoyed spending time with his papaw, special Saturday outings, and watching movies as he was a movie buff.

Survivors in addition to his parents include his brother, Travis Sarber, maternal grandparents, Daryl and Janna Dykes; paternal grandparents, Leroy and Ann Sarber; great-grandmother, Thelma Cochran; uncles, Leroy Sarber, Ronnie Sarber; special uncle, Johnny Cochran and several other aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will like to extend a special thanks to Cathy Dunn, Linda Freeman, First Choice Pediatrics, Dr. David Nickels, the staff of East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, and Dr. Josh Shook.

Private services will be held.
