Mrs. Lucille Harshbarger Keefauver, age 93, Jonesborough, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at the Center of Aging Healthcare Center in Erwin.

Mrs. Keefauver was a native of Washington County and daughter of the late Charles Elbert & Mattie Pearl Armstrong Harshbarger. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Keefauver was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, William J. (Bill) Keefauver, a twin daughter, Jane Tolley in September of 2009, sisters, Mary Etta Wilhoit, Isabel Harshbarger and three brothers, Ernest Harshbarger, Carl Harshbarger and George Rhea Harshbarger.

She was a loving person, who was a homemaker, a stay at home mom and a very faithful caregiver to her husband before his death.

Mrs. Keefauver was a member of Jonesborough Central Christian Church and taught Sunday school for many years.

She was a Charter Member of Hale’s Community Home Demonstration Club, joining in 1949.

Mrs. Keefauver was employed at Cooper’s Office Equipment, Kings Department Store and later worked at Mahoney’s Sports Store in Johnson City until she retired.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley K. & Bob McCracken, Rogersville, TN and June & Jim Ingram, Jonesborough; son-in-law, Ed Tolley, Erwin; granddaughters, Lisa McCracken Feathers (Jeff), Unicoi Robyn Jones (Tommy) Johnson City, Candy Gorman (Don) Rogersville, TN, Dawn N. Hill (Steve) Gray; grandson, Christopher Tolley; great-grandchildren, Miranda Qualls, Rogersville, Christie Hill Rogers and Madisyn Faith Jones, Johnson City; great-great granddaughter, McKayla B. Qualls, Rogersville; great-great grandson, Eric Qualls, Jr. Rogersville; several nephews and nieces; special caregivers, Effie Kyker, Phyllis Shipley and Vanessa Phillips.

The family would like to send special thanks to the Staff of Center of Aging Healthcare Center of Erwin for their loving care of our mother.

Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Friday, April 6, 2012 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Hill and Rev. Bob Roberson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Friday prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Monte Vista Burial Park.

Pallbearers will be Deacons of Central Christian Church.
