Winnie Faye Story

Mrs. Faye M. Story, age 86, Pine Oaks Assisted Living, formerly of Jonesborough, where she lived for 68 years, passed away Friday, March 23, 2012 at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Mrs. Story was a native of Andrews, North Carolina and daughter of the late Lawrence and Norma Bradley McConnell. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Story was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Story in 1988; one brother, Ralph McConnell, and an infant sister.

She was a founding member of Embreeville Church of Christ and was a children’s Sunday School teacher for over 30 years.

Mrs. Story retired from Klopman Mills after 46 years.

Survivors include two sisters, Fern Wilson, Winston Salem, NC and Charlene Davis, Andrews, NC; one brother, Dane McConnell, Marble, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Embreeville Church of Christ with Minister Philip Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, March 26, 2012 at Roselawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gordon Lane, Jeff Lane, Rick Broyles, Carlos Campbell, Terry Tittle, and Richard Storey.

The family would like to express their appreciation to her past caregivers while at home and Pine Oaks Assisted Living.
